Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: NYK hosts Distt evel Yuva Utsav at Udhampur

Udhampur: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, on Tuesday organised “District Level YuvaUtsav” here at Riwayat under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
The event was organised on the theme “Take pride in our heritage & legacy.”
Six different events, Young Artists Camp; Young Writers Contest; Photography Contest; Declamation Contest, Cultural Fest and YuvaSamvaad, were held during the daylong event.
Lal Chand, Chairman District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur was the Chief Guest, while Nissar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS J&K was the Guest of Honor and Anwar-Ul-Haq, Additional SP was the Special Guest of the programme.
J.D Slathia, President Bar Council Udhampur also attended the event along with Jury members belonging to different academic backgrounds.
At the outset, Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer welcomed the guests and participants and briefed about the objectives of organising such events.
More than 300 young boys and girls showed their talent in their respective categories. Cultural teams belonging to the remotest corners of the district made the event more colourful. Department of Information & PR, Udhampur also played a significant role in making the event successful. After the competitive events, Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners of all events followed by the addresses of all guests.
Lal Chand (DDC Chairman) welcomed the initiatives being undertaken by NYK Udhampur to provide a platform to the youngsters and extended his cooperation towards such nation building events.
Nissar Butt (State Director) also spoke about the various activities that will be focused by the department in the upcoming days.
Anwar-Ul-Haq (ASP Udhampur) lauded the efforts of NYK Udhampur to bring the youth on one platform and guide them to stay away from Drug Addiction and come towards nation building activities. In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Khushal Gupta, DYO.
