Kishtwar: Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwaron Friday started inter-Panchayat Block Level tournament under YSS Cup-2022 in four sports disciplines viz Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball &Kho-Kho at different venues across the district.
The winning teams from Panchayats/ Municipality Wards are participating in Block level competitions.
Around 500 players of Block Drabshalla, Kishtwar, Thakrie, Paddar& Municipality Kishtwar are participating in each sports event under open age category.
JavedIqbal Sheikh i/c Activity, SubashChander I/c ZPEO Kishtwar, Ramloki I/c ZPEO Paddar,Kailash Kumar I/c ZPEO Drabshalla,Suman Kant I/c Municipality Kishtwar, Zorawar Singh I/c Block Kishtwar& Mr. Ravi Kumar I/c Block Thakrie coordinated the events of respective blocks.
Pertinently, YSS Cup 2022 is the brainchild of LG ShManojSinha which is aimed at to tap sports talent in Youth at Panchayat level with a special focus on non-students by providing them the best possible opportunities.
