Jammu : District Red Cross Society Jammu celebrated National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2022 with the theme “Donating Blood is an act of Solidarity, Join the effort and save lives” here at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar.
ADC Adm. Satish Kumar Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Ranbhushan Singh, Retd. HOD, VipinBhagat, Executive Secretary District Red Cross Society Jammu, Principal GGHSS Shastri Nagar GeetuBangotra also graced the occasion.
ADC Satish Sharma deliberated about the relevance of the day and made students and staff aware of the importance of blood donation.
On this occasion, painting competitions and symposiums were also organised in the school premises and the winners of the competition were given awards.
A rally was also taken out to mark the occasion. Monika Jamwal, Incharge Red Cross, GGHSS Shastri Nagar and IqbalKour looked after the overall arrangements at the school level.
