BGSBU celebrated “Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav” under the theme “India Towards sweet revolution”

Rajouri : An induction-cum-orientation programme for newly admitted engineering students concluded at the School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri.
According to a statement from Public Relations Office of the University the Vice Chancellor Prof. Akbar Masood was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, Prof. Akbar congratulated the new students and asked them to start every day with positive thoughts. Prof. Akbar advised the students to enjoy and celebrate each day as they are getting an opportunity to live the next four years with a fantastic team of students and faculties. He exhorted the students to be clear about their career choice and decide what kind of jobs they will be working with. He encouraged the students to become entrepreneurs and suggested they to be self-mentor. Prof. Akbar assured the students that every possible facility shall be made available to them for their holistic growth and development.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office, BGSBU, earlier, Dean SoET Prof. Asif Hussain delivered the welcome address. Prof. Asif appreciated students for enthusiastic participation in the induction programme which will facilitate their inclusive personality development. He appraised the Vice Chancellor about the activities organised during the week long Induction programme. In his address Mohd Ishaq Registrar of the University also spoke on the occasion. He advised the students to maximize every single opportunity they get and always relate what they learn in theory to the real-life world. He said that BGSB University has time and again proved to be a leader among its contemporaries despite its very young age. He stressed on developing highly talented manpowere which will ultimately take the BGSBU to the new heights of success. While speaking on this occasion, Ahmed Rayaz, Assistant Professor conducted the proceedings of the event. Dr Manmeet Singh, Assistant Professor proposed a vote of thanks.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Shams Kamal Anjum, Associate Dean Languages, Dr. Titi Xavier, Associate Dean Nursing, Heads of various departments, faculty members and students.
