Kishtwar : In continuation to special series of activities under Rashtriya Poshan Mah-2022, an awareness camp was conducted at Anganwadi Centre Kurya, on Thursday.
The event was organised on the directions of Mission Director POSHAN,J&K and under the close supervision of District Programme Officer, Poshan Kishtwar, Kishori Lal Sharma.
Sarpanch Panchayat Lohidhaar B, Mohammad Rafiq Shah was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
CDPO Kishtwar, Iffat Ara; Supervisor, Iqbal Banoo; Health & Nutrition Mobilizer, Mohsin Nisar & ICDS beneficiaries including pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and children attended the camp.
Women and adult girls were imparted awareness about the importance of consumption of nutritious and balanced diet, maintenance of hygiene, besides they were educated regarding the hazardous effects on health due to deficient intake of micro and macro nutrients during pregnancy and lactation.
AWW Shakeela Begum and Salma Kousar both dedicated a song on Poshan Abhiyaan.
A pledge ceremony to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was administered to the participants and the public was made aware about the disastrous consequences of drug addiction.
To find out the SAM and MAM children, weight and height of children was plotted and mothers were acknowledged on the spot about the growth of their kids. All the participants were served with refreshment and the camp concluded with a vote of thanks.
