Srinagar : Police in Budgam on Thursday said that it has recovered 2 missing minor girls from Jammu.
In a statement issued from J&K Zonal Police Headquarters Police said that PP Humhama received a written complaint from a lady resident of Handwara presently putting at Humhama, stating therein further that her two minor daughters aged 15 & 16 years went missing since 25th September. Police in it’s statement further said that it registered a case vide FIR number 337/2022 under relevant sections of Law at Police Station Budgam and set into motion the investigation , adding that earlier, the Special Police Team under the supervision of IC PP Humhama was constituted to trace out the two minor missing girls.
Stating that special police team after working on various leads traced out both the missing minor girls from Bus Stand Jammu and subsequently brought them safely to Budgam, Police in the concluding para of the above referred statement furthermore said that after fulfilling all legal formalities, the minor girls were handed over to their parents. Further investigation is in progress.
