Shopian : A Job fair was Wednesday organised by District Employment &Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Shopian for jobseekers from the district.
Joint Director DE&CC Kashmir, Hakeem Tanveer was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Assistant Director DE&CC Shopian, HafsaQayoom impressed on the employers and job seekers to register on the employment portal.
Around 12 employers from different sectors participated in the event which included companies like Kashmir Joinery Mills, Shadab Hospital, LIC, Private Schools Association, Fairdeal Motors, Himalayan Motors, K.Y Motors and others.
More than 300 unemployed youth/jobseekers from the district participated in the event. Around 46 youth were shortlisted by various companies for different jobs and 50 candidates registered themselves on the employment portal on the spot.
