Kulgam : Continuing efforts to curb the misuse of habit forming drugs, the Drug Control Department Kulgam closed down one medical shop, DarulShifa medical store operating opposite District Hospital Kulgam for violation of different conditions of licenses and non maintenance of sale records.
Moreover, a prosecution was also launched Tuesday before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam in connection with contravention of Drugs & Cosmetic Act 1940 & Rules.
It has been reiterated and made clear to every Chemist and Distributor that stringent action will be taken against those who shall not dispense drugs especially scheduled formulations in consonance with the rational prescriptions of RMPs.
Strict directions have been passed from Drug Controlling Authorities to maintain computerized billing systems and install CCTV cameras in and around their premises.
