Srinagar : The Debates, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops Committee in collaboration with the Cultural Committee under the patronage of Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather, Principal Amar Singh College Srinagar conducted One-Day District level Declamation/ Painting/ Quiz Competition on Gandhian Philosophy as part of celebrations of Gandhi Jayanti on 26th Sept, 2022.
Prof Henna Amin, Convener, Debates, Seminars, Conferences and Workshops Committee and Head Department of English Department, gave a welcome address, introducing the esteemed judges to the audience.
The jury included Prof. FoziaDurrani, Head Department of English AAAM Degree College Bemina, Prof. ShabirMirza, Associate Professor Govt. College for Women, M.A Road, Prof. MujeebKawoosa, Head Department of Mathematics, Amar Singh College and Prof. Arifat Jan, Head Department of Political Science, Amar Singh College.
The dice was eventually handed over to the student moderators, Mansha Syed and Arif Rashid, who took charge of the proceedings for the day. Student participants from different constituent colleges of Cluster University participated in the event and winners were adjured and presented with certificates at the end of the programme. The day ended with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Syed Umra Shah while as Prof. Jamsheeda and Prof. Kesara acted as rapporteurs for the event.
