Awareness camp on Legal Rights of Women held at Kupwara

Kupwara:   The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (Mission Shakti) in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority Kupwaraon Monday held an awareness camp regarding Legal Rights of Women sponsored by National Commission for Women, Government of India.

Secretary DLSA, Muzamil Ahmad Wani was chief guest on the occasion.

Addressing the function, the Secretary DLSA highlighted the importance of women empowerment and legal awareness among women. He said that the legal institutions are always on forefront to provide any type of legal support to the women in need.

He appealed to the women participants to play their role as ambassadors for carrying the message on protection of the rights of the women.

Other speakers, including District Mission Coordinator, District Hub for Empowerment of women, KhalidaYasin gave detailed information to the participants on legal rights of women.

Project coordinator 181, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Adv. GhulamNabi Khan, were the Resource Person of the programme.

On the occasion, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA workers and other concerned attended the awareness camp.
