Jammu : Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Anvy Lavsa, who is also District Election Officer, on Saturday inspected the Special Summary Revision camps being held at all the polling stations of the district.
The special camps were organised in all 11 constituencies at 1456 polling stations of Jammu district.
All the BLOs were present at their respective polling stations along with electoral rolls and requisite forms.
The DEO said that the special camps have been organised across the District for inclusion of new voter/Correction/Deletion of names.
The DEO also appealed to the public in general and eligible youth in particular to avail this opportunity to enroll as voters. She encouraged the youth to come forward in large numbers to get registered as voters to exercise their right to vote.
She also instructed the BLOs to work with utmost dedication and caution in registering new voters, correction and deletion to avoid inconvenience to the people in future.
Similar camps will be organized on 25th September and 1st, 2nd, 15th and 16th October,2022 across the district.
