Srinagar, Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported 28 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 173while no more death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,785.
An official said that among 28 new cases including 8 from Jammu division and 20 from Kashmir division till Friday evening raised the total no of cases to 479020. He also said that with no new Covid death reported from either Kashmir Valley or Jammu division till Friday evening the J&K’s overall Covid death toll stayed at 4785
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 305,101 including 302,543 recoveries and 2,433 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,945 including 171,545 recoveries and 2,352 deaths.
He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 173 including 125 from Kashmir division and 48 from Jammu division.
With 17 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 474,088 which is 98.97 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 28 cases Friday, 08 are from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 03 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 08 are from Jammu division that include 03 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 00 from Kuthua , 04 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,794,379 persons in J&K are under observation while 558 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 173 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,788,257 persons have completed the surveillance period and 606 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,628,389 samples are available.
“Out of 26,628,389 the number of samples tested negative stands at 26,149,343 while 479,046 have tested positive, among them 173 cases are active, 474,088 have recovered and 4,785 persons have died,” it added
