Srinagar : As a part of Thana Diwas an initiative of J&K Police to bridge the gap between police and public, Police in Bandipora on Thursday facilitated visit of students of various schools to PS Bandipora so as to familiarize them with functioning of the Police Station.
According to a statement issued from J&K Zonal Police Headquarters police said that the SSP Bandipora MohmadZahid-JKPS, Dy SP Hqrs Bandipora Shafat Mohmad, DySP (P) Mohmad Farhan and other officers/officials of Police were also present. The visiting students were welcomed by SHO PS Bandipora and briefed about police working by DySP Hqrs Bandipora. Later on, SSP Bandipora also briefed the students with regard to work culture of police station and offences like Cybercrime, NDPS, Crime against women, POCSO Act and Environmental offences etc. The students were also taken around to visit different establishments located inside the Police Station and they were shown the reporting room, Malkhana, Lock up, CCTNS lab, waiting rooms and Gymnasium etc.
In a concluding para of the above referred statement police said that students also shared their experience and thanked Police for their good will gesture by providing opportunity to them to have firsthand experience of police working.
