Kishtwar : Department of youth services and sports Kishtwar on Thursday organized Inter Zonal District Level LG’s Rolling Trophy in the discipline of Cricket here at Chowgan Grounds.
The event is being held under the patronage of Director Youth Services & Sports SubashChanderChibber& Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu Atul Kumar
The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner KishtwarDrDevanshYadav as the chief guest of the event. District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed was Guest of honour. The Teams of all 05 Zones are participating in the event being coordinated by SureshChander (PEM)- the overall incharge of the tournament and held under the supervision of District youth services and sports officer KharatiLalShrama.
Meanwhile, a Pledge to fight the menace of drug abuse was also administered to the participants by the Deputy Commissioner under the aegis of NashaMukt Bharat.
In his address, the DC Kishtwar congratulated the players selected during the trial cum selection process and reaching the next level.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the Physical Education Staff for selecting the students from far flung Panchayats and organizing mega sports activities in all zones.
The tournament has to be played at two pools i.e. Pool-A & Pool-B.
