Kulgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud- Din Bhat on Tuesday chaired a meeting of officers to review functioning of Municipal Committees (MCs) besides progress registered under various Urban Development schemes including FC grants, IDMT, MTMP, etc.
The chair was informed that under FC grants there are 20 works in all four MCs which include development of Bus Adda, construction of Slaughter house, Children Park and open Gym besides, construction of marriage hall in MC Devsar.
Construction of car parking, office building, slaughter house, construction and development of Women/Children Park in MC Kulgam and other works in all four MCs have been approved at the cost of Rs. 37.08 crore.
During the meeting, physical and financial progress of works under ‘My Town My Pride’ was also reviewed by the DC.
The DC impressed upon all the concerned to work with zeal and dedication and scale up pace on all works. He stressed to utilize the working season properly and complete maximum works before November.
While reviewing the revenue realization, the chair was informed that the revenue realization of all four municipal committees is more than 90 lacs in the last 5 months.
EOs also briefed the chair about the availability of machinery and manpower.
The meeting was attended by Presidents of Municipal Committees, Frisal, Yaripora and Devsar besides ADDC, JD-Planning, ACR, Tehsildars, EOs and other officers.
