DFCO intensifies audit of Narcotic, Psychotropic drugs across Ramban

Ramban :  Drug and Food Control organization has intensified audit of Narcotic & Psychotropic drugs across Ramban district to curb the menace of drug abuse.

In continuation to the ongoing  NashaMukh Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan,  Drugs Control Officer, Ramban  Imtiyaz Ahmed on Monday inspected scores of Medical Shops outside the Sub District Hospital Banihal under the aegis of the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam.

A physical audit of Narcotic & Psychotropic drugs and Insulin Syringes was carried out, while IEC material including posters were pasted on Medical Shops for disseminating the message about the consequences of drug addiction.

An awareness camp was also organized to educate the chemists about the misuse of Narcotic & Psychotropic Drugs and their role in preventing the same.

Directions were also given for starting computerized billing and installation of CCTV Cameras. Stress was also laid on the issuance of Cash Memos to every consumer and cross-checking of Batch No. and the Expiry Date on every drug.
