Srinagar : Police in Anantnag alongwith Army on Monday arrested 2 hybrid terrorists linked with proscribed terror outfit AGuH. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession.
In a statement issued from the J&K Zonal Police Headquarters police said that on the basis of specific input about movement of militants, a Joint naka was established by Police along with Army (3RR) at Waghama-Opzan Road.
Stating that during checking, the joint party apprehended two Hybrid militants of AGuH militant outfit identified as Tanveer Ahmad Bhat S/o Ali Mohammad Bhat R/o Waghama Bijbehara and Tufail Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Hassan Dar R/o Midora Tral. During search, 02 Pistols along with 02 magazines and 15 Rounds were recovered from their possession.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, police said that later on an FIR vide No. 166/2022 was registered under relevant sections of law in PS Bijbehara and investigation was set into motion to ascertain the facts on ground.
