Kulgam : The Additional Development Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather on Friday chaired a meeting at Mini-Secretariat here to review the arrangements for smooth transportation of fruit crops to outside Valley.
During the meeting, the traffic plan was discussed threadbare to facilitate smooth transportation and to avoid traffic jams.
The ADC stressed to enforce traffic diversion plans especially during the peak fruit season. He impressed upon the officers to sensitize officials at checking points for better regulation and management of traffic to ensure smooth passage of fruit trucks.
On the occasion, the representatives of fruit mandies/ Traders also put forth their suggestions for making the process of transportation of fruits smooth.
The meeting was attended by ARTO, Dy-SP HQ, TehsildarHq, Area Marketing Officer Kulgam and other officers besides, President Fruit Growers association, different Transport Union operators of the district.
