Ramban : District Mineral Officer, Ramban has seized 3 vehicles used in mining and transportation of minor minerals from different areas of Ramban during a series of raids conducted on Saturday.
On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, DMO, Kulwant Singh along with TehsildarRamban, Rafiq Ahmed and his team conducted raids in different areas of the district to check illegal mining, extraction and transportation of raw materials.
The DMO informed that during the drive, 3 dumpers, used in illegal mining and transportation of illegally extracted raw material were seized besides recommending imposing heavy fines on violators.
The DMO advised consumers to purchase minerals from legal sources with e-bill only and stay away from illegal miners. He warned that FIR will be lodged against habitual violators if found involved in illegal transportation of minerals 2nd time.
