Shopian : The District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Thursday visited various polling stations of the district to take stock of the process of special summary revision (SSR).
The visit was taken on the eve of the first day of special summary revision, 2022.
DEO visited polling stations at HS Trenz, District Treasury Shopian, GHS Pinjora and other stations. He interacted with students, new eligible voters to be incorporated in electoral rolls.
All the EROs, AEROs, BLOs and Supervisors have been directed to undertake the special summary revision in a friendly and cordial way by involving all the stakeholders in the process with a view to achieve 100 percent coverage and accuracy in new additions.
DEO urged the public to contact BLOs at their respective polling stations for any modification/correction, addition or deletion in the electoral roll in order to maintain a clean and comprehensive electoral roll.
He also urged eligible voters to enroll themselves in the Electoral Roll, and said that all forms required for addition, deletion, correction and other modifications are available at all the polling stations to ease out the process for the public.
Besides DEO, Dy DEO Shopian and EROs of respective constituencies also visited various polling stations to kick-start SSR- 2022 for infusing momentum in the process.
