Reasi : Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Babila Rakhwal on Thursday visited Block Arnas and listened to public issues and demands during weekly Block Diwasprogramme held at SalalKotli of District Reasi, the other day.
During weekly block Diwas, PRIs and general public of the area put forth issues and problems being faced by them. They demanded augmentation of drinking water supply in government schools, meeting shortage of toilets in government Higher Secondary School Salal, construction of play field, adequate staff in government educational institutions, bringing TattaPani and Shiv cave on the tourism map, release of land compensation etc.
Responding to the demands and issues of PRIs, the DC issued on the spot instructions to the officers to look into these issues on priority.
Many grievances were redressed on the spot by the officers of the concerned departments. She assured that all the genuine demands will be examined and redressed at an earliest.
While interacting with the PRIs as well as general public of the area, the DC said that such platforms enable district administration to know the problems being faced by the people. She asked the officers to inform the people about income generating and beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and J&K Government.
