Public Outreach Progheld at DingaAmb Block under Block Diwas initiative

DC listens to people’s issues, assures early redressal

Kathua :  Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandeyalongwith Vice Chairman DDC Raghunandan Singh on Wednesday presided over block diwas proceedings at Block DingaAmb Wednesday.

BDC Chairperson Sudesh Sharma, DDC Member DingaAmb, RimmiCharak, Sarpanchs, Panchs and a large number of people attended the outreach programme.

The programme witnessed scores of individuals and deputations including PRI members projecting demands and apprising DC Kathua about the problems faced by the inhabitants of their respective areas.

The people of DingaAmb and peripheral areas put forth issues concerning their areas ranging from the provision of better road connectivity, drinking water supply, issue of low voltage and uninterrupted power supply and other basic amenities.

The elected PRIs also highlighted problems and issues including the demand of tractor road for DingaAmb-B Panchayat, upgradation of high school DingaAmb-A, high or low voltage in Mangloor east and maintenance of playfield of Dhalli school etc.

After giving a patient hearing to the demands of the people, the DC passed on spot instructions to the concerned departments for time bound resolution of all the issues.

While speaking on the occasion, DC said that Block Diwas initiative was aimed at reaching out to the people and listening to their grievances and redressing them in an efficient and coordinated manner. He enjoined upon the concerned officers to prioritise the grievances and redress them in a time bound manner.

The DC informed that a comprehensive plan under JalJeevan Mission has been prepared to cover the water deficient kandi areas which will improve the drinking water availability scenario.

CEO Kathua was directed by DC Kathua to take up the plantation drives in schools and adopt measures for cleanliness and sanitation to ensure their upkeep.

The DC also impressed upon officers of different departments to disseminate information regarding different schemes of their department.

Vice Chairperson DDC appealed to PRIs to work in close coordination with district administration so that the development targets under different schemes can be achieved within set timelines.
