Jt Dir Horti inspects Devworks in Poonch

Poonch :  Joint Director Horticulture Jammu, ChamanLal Sharma on Wednesday  concluded the 3-Day tour of border district Poonch.

District horticulture team headed by the Chief Horticulture Officer Poonch, Sanjeev Kumar accompanied the visiting officer to different Ultra High Density orchard locations, Fruit plant Nurseries, Fruit Processing centers.

The Joint Director Horticulture also distributed certificates for successful trainees of a one month course at Fruit Processing Centre Poonch.

During the visit, the Joint Director  also elaborated on the efforts of the department in popularizing the Ultra High Density concept among the farmers. He apprised the women farmers about the available subsidy schemes for encouraging women folk towards entrepreneurship development in the remote areas of the district.
