Srinagar : A team of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs on Tuesday recovered a penal sum of Rs.34950 from erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 besides one illegal LPG counter was also sealed at Mujgund, here.
The action against the erring was taken during market checking of 369 business establishments.
Meanwhile, during the current financial year, an amount of Rs.5519850 has been collected as fine from 11793 erring traders. Besides, 184 establishments have also been sealed and police complaints against 12 erring traders also stands lodged.
Moreover, the erring lot has been reprimanded to remain careful in future. The drive will continue in the same passion in future as well and whosoever is found violating the norms will be brought to justice.
