EJCC Chairman Ejaz Khan welcomes LG’s statement on regularisation of daily wage workers

Srinagar : Chairman EJCC and President of CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Ejaz Ahmad Khan on Monday welcomed the remark of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha on a proposed initiative on regulaisation of daily wage workers working  in various government departments.

In a statement issued on Monday Khan termed the remark of Lt Governor on regularisation of daily wage workers working in various department  as very encouraging and a ray of hope in the midst of despair for the daily wage workers of different department. In his statement Khan said that “it is possible for daily wage workers to get justice only during the tenure of Lt Governor, Stating therein that in the past, rulers and politicians not only exploited thousands of daily wagers and casual labourers by fake promises, but also tried to take political mileage by running paper horses on regularisation of daily wage workers of different department. He said that a strong dispensaton is in power in Kashmir has generated hopes of the resolution of decade long legitimate demand of daily wagers . He said that it seems that the clouds of uncertainty hovering over the lives and future of thousands of daily wagers and their families are about to disappear and a new life is about to begin. Khan expressed satisfaction over the remark of  Lt. Governor in which he said that the demand of daily wages is legitimate and the government can’t deny them the legitimate rights. The Chairman EJCC and the President of CAPD Association further said “now that the long-standing demand and purpose of Daily Wagers is about to be fulfilled, I personally thank the Lieutenant Governor and appealed Government especially the Chief Secretary Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, to personally intervene into the long pending demand on disbursement of GP Fund dues and the fulfillment of other pending demands of retired employees. Khan EJCC and CAPD Employees Association Kashmir assured  that the employees will not neglect their duties but will contribute in  the initiatives of government taken for development and welfare of the people, Stating therein further that employees  will leave no stone unturned in the execution of projects, works and schemes of the government.
