Kishtwar : The District Hub For Empowerment Of Women (DHEW) Kishtwar on Saturday organised an Awareness Programme on World Suicide Prevention Day here at Elite Public school.
The team DHEW made the students aware about suicide prevention day, its history & significance.
The main aim of this awareness programme was to create awareness about mental health and to focus on the ways and measures to prevent suicide at any cost.
Students also participated in debate and skit competition on the theme Suicide Prevention and were awarded on the basis of their performances.
School Chairman, RafiaBasharat, also advised the students to ‘talk it out’ during times of stress and depression and how to calm down themselves during tough times.
The programme was attended by Chairman Rafia Basharat Sheikh, Principal Tanveer Ahmed, DHEW Staff Shanu Rana, Heena Jan besides all other staff and students.
