Inequality is against the spirit of justice and more so when it comes to payment of pay, perks and allowances by a government taking pride in democracy based on strongest bench marks of justice and equality. As a mark of respect to justice and equality the incumbent J&K Government under the leadership of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has removed parity in pays and perks of the Government employees put into practice by one of the previous popular governments of erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state and not removed by the two successive popular government of erstwhile J&K State. The decision of the government to remove parity in pay, perks and allowances will by all standards of understandability further deepen the sense of job security among the government employees of all cadres in Jammu & Kashmir. The decision of removing inequality in pay, perks and allowances would probably prompt employees to show more commitment and dedication towards the jobs and tasks they are assigned from time to time. The decision of paying basic pay without DA and other allowances for the minimum probation period of two years with no right to transfer for five years and paying full pay only after the completion of minimum probation period of two years was undoubtedly sheer injustice done to the fresh appointees for almost last one decade. This decision taken by one of the popular governments of erstwhile J&K state needlessly in contravention of the decades old procedures and practices was vehemently resisted not only by the employee unions but also by the employees themselves irrespective of their affiliation to one or the other cadre. Scrapping this unpopular decision of one of the previous popular governments of erstwhile J&K state without protests or any insistence from either the employees unions or the employees themselves shows the concern of the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and his Government for the welfare and protection of  pay and perks of it’s employees.

With the removal in anomalies in pay and change in the conditions of  service rules and payment of additional perks and allowances the incumbent government led by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has given the much awaited sense of satisfaction and as well as sense of achievement to several thousands of it’s employees and millions of job seekers across Jammu & Kashmir.

Neither the serving employees nor the fresh appointees and as well as the job seekers of the present era had even thought about government scrapping this unpopular measure of one of the popular governments of erstwhile J&K state but the incumbent Government deserves compliments for taking such a popular decision for protection of the pay and perks of it’s employees. The decision has undoubtedly brought smiles on the faces of atleast 15000 employees and undoubtedly 15000 families would most likely be benefitted from this popular decision of the government immediately.
