Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has solved 4 burglary cases by arresting 8 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and and also recovered stolen property worth lacs.
In a statement issued on Saturday Police said that earlier this month, Police Station Ganderbal received two written complaints regarding burglary at Govt. High School Kujjar Ganderbal and a similar incident in a residential house at Saloora Ganderbal, Stating therein further that two more complaints regarding theft of domestic animals from cowsheds at Tengpora village were lodged in PS Ganderbal.
Stating that cases vide FIR No’s 257/2022, 146/2022, 216/2022 and 240/2022 under relevant sections of law were registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was set into the motion, Police in it’s statement further said that on receipt of the said complaints, a special team led by SHO PS Ganderbal was constituted by SSP Ganderbal under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Ganderbal and the said team swiftly cracked all the four burglary cases and arrested eight persons involved in these cases.
Police in it’s above referred statement further said that the said eight accused have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Najar S/O Gh Mohd R/O Fethapora Ganderbal, Asif HussainYatoo S/O Gh Hassan R/O Sultanpora Baramulla, Muneer Ahmad Famda S/O Ghulam Younis R/O Sarafraw Kangan, Mohd Shabir Magray S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Sahardhaka Udhampur, Shakeel Ahmad Bijad S/O MohdIshaq R/O Judiyal Rojouri, Rubul Mestry S/O Shams ud Din R/O Gurgaon Haryana A/P Beehama Ganderbal, Safikul Islam S/O Umer Ali & Kutab-u-Din S/O Mannan, both residents of Delhi A/P Beehama Ganderbal.
Stating that after thorough enquiry, on their disclosure, stolen property including 12 batteries, 01 gold coin, 03 cows and a calf was recovered on their disclosure, Police in it’s above referred statement furthermore said that a vehicle (Auto) bearing registration number JK01P- 4078 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, Police said that people of the areas have applauded the efforts made by the Police in cracking/solving the burglary cases and resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities.
