Srinagar : Police in Budgamon Friday seized huge quantity of illicit timber and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Police said that on receiving inputs about Abdul Hamid Shera S/O Mohammad Hussain Shera R/O Gujarpathri Drang having kept huge quantity of illicit timber in an orchard on Drung Gujarpathri road, a police party of Police Station Khag raided the specific spot and seized huge quantity of illicit timber and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 50/2022 under relevant sections of law was later registered at Police Station Khag and investigation initiated, Police in it’s statement further said that more arrests and recoveries are expected.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, police said that consistent actions against anti-social elements are taken as part of the efforts made to keep society free of crime. Police in it’s above quoted statement also resolved to act as per law against those who indulge in criminal activities.
