Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandeyon Friday convened a meeting of officers of different departments, here at DC Office Complex to review the switch over to the e-office system of working in the offices.
At the outset, the DIO NIC apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the status of information furnished by different departments for smooth implementation of e-office. He also shared the details of training sessions conducted to acquaint the employees with the e-office process and procedures.
The DC directed DIO NIC to devise a format wherein the department wise details of employees dealing with e-office, file heads besides flow chart of file movement is incorporated.
The DC shared about the benefits of switching over to e-Office which includes time saving and efficient management of works, quick disposal of files besides bringing transparency and accountability in the system.
The DIO NIC briefed the officers about the role of VPN to have secure access to files and regarding registration of e-mail through NIC.
The DC further directed DIO NIC to ensure mapping of email of respective departments on priority so that the process for shifting of official work on the e-Office platform could be achieved by the end of September.
