DC G’bal chairs DLIC meet on Mission Youth

Ganderbal :  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir who is also Chairman District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Friday chaired a meeting of the DLIC on Mission Youth to review implementation of the spurring entrepreneurship initiative in the district.

At the outset, Assistant Director Employment gave a brief on the scope of the scheme. It was informed that the objective of the scheme is to encourage innovation and job creation through creation of new businesses units.

During the meeting, the DLIC put forth 21 best profitable start-ups/ business ideas for which the DC asked the concerned to generate mass awareness among the educated and unemployed youth of the district about the scheme and ensure maximum coverage of the eligible persons.

The Chairman, DLIC directed the Assistant Director Employment to check the feasibility/viability of the units/projects by way of checking the detailed concept notes submitted by the applicants and whose units are found viable/feasible as per the scheme guidelines shall be put up in the DLIC in the next meeting for selection accordingly.

While interacting with the members of the committee, the DC said that all members shall provide handholding/guidance to the applicant in the establishment of an innovative and employment generating unit.

Besides, General Manager, DIC was directed to nominate the designated member from the successful industrialists in the district who shall apprise/make familiar the committee about the innovative ideas and hardships to be faced by the fresh entrepreneurs in the establishment of units and DLIC accordingly shall make arrangement for rectification of the same so that the applicant does not face any inconvenience.

The meeting was attended by CPO, IrfanGiri; General Manager, DIC Ganderbal; District Social Welfare Officer Ganderbal; Assistant Director Employment, (Nodal Officer DLIC) Ganderbal; District Officer, KVIB, Ganderbal, Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Ganderbal and Lead Bank Officer, Ganderbal.
