SDM Sumbal conducts extensive tour of various Villages

Bandipora :  The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, Dr. Bashir Lone on Thursday  took an extensive tour of various villages of the Sub Division including Banyari, Prang, Chandergeer, Hakbara, SiriHari Karan Gund and Filtration plant of JJM JarokabalManasbal.

During the visit, the SDM redressed the grievance of the residents of BanyariSharki regarding land issue for construction of Water Supply Scheme under JJM. SDM in presence of AEE PHE, JD Rakhs and Farms Department negotiated the issue satisfactorily and demarcated the land for the construction of Water supply scheme for the said village.

Dr Lone enroute to these areas took a detailed inspection of ongoing construction works of Water Supply Schemes under JJM at Hakbara, SiriHari Karan Gund and Chandergeer. He said that the under construction WSSs will cover all the households of these villages. He directed the executing agencies to expedite the ongoing works of JJM and complete them within the fixed timelines.

Dr. Lone also inspected the filtration plant JarokabalManasbal.

The SDM during the visit also took a detailed inspection of the Health and Wellness centerChandergeer where he took stock of the facilities and services being provided to the patients.

SDM also conducted surprise inspections of Primary and Middle schools of Chandergeer of education zone Hajin. It was directed to improve academic performance and creativity among students as education is the only medium through which we can uplift society.

Dr Lone, interacted with the team of Animal Husbandry Bandipora, headed by Live Stock Development Officer Sumbal, Dr. M. Ashraf during door to door Lumpy Skin Disease awareness drive and in Grazing Land of Banyari area.

The DM was accompanied by AEE Jal Shakti Department Fayaz Ahmad Yatoo, Junior Engineers PHE, Contactors, Revenue and PHE field Officials.
