Kathua : A day-long training programme on Special Summary Revision for Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of 65-Basohli Assembly constituency was held here on Thursday in the premises of DIET Basohli.
A total of 115 officials from 64-Basohli assembly constituency were imparted training on the procedure for Special Summary Revision-2022. The trainees were explained about the procedure to be adopted and other prerequisites to process applications viz new forms 6, 6B, 7, 8, besides ensuring Aadhaar linkage with EPIC, 100% photo coverage in Electoral Roll, PWDs marking, uploading of AMF/ EMF etc.
On the occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Kathua, Abhay Gupta advised the election staff to get acquainted with the laid down election related guidelines and follow them in letter and spirit while executing special summary revision exercise. He said the prime objective of the whole exercise was to ensure all eligible voters must be incorporated in the electoral roll so that no one can be deprived from their right to franchise.
Pertinently under Special Summary Revision-2022, claims and objections for integrated draft electoral roll can be filed from 15th September 2022 and will continue till 25th October 2022 across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
