Bandipora : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Afsar Ali Khan on Wednesday chaired a meeting to discuss various modalities of NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan at Mini Secretariat, here.
The meeting discussed threadbare various measures to fight the drug menace and eradicate this evil from the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC stressed on parental care and strict vigil to fight the Drug menace. He directed the concerned to keep proper vigil around the educational institutions to prevent chances of getting students involved in the drug menace.
The ADDC directed all the concerned departments to work in coordination and take up extra measures to eradicate the drug menace.
He stressed on rehabilitation of addicts and directed the concerned to keep proper check of NRX drugs in drug stores and to check the sale of banned drugs.
The ADDC directed the concerned to take up activities at Panchayat and Tehsil level and accordingly submit the report to sub divisional committee and asked the Sub Divisional Level committee to submit the report and coordinate with District Level Committee.
Afsar Ali said Administration has adopted zero tolerance against drug menace and efforts are on to break the supply chain of drugs in order to eradicate this evil.
