Srinagar : Chairman J&K People’s Democratic Front ( J&K PDF )has urged the government to regularise the service of CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department stating therein that they have been appointed through proper recruitment process in the year 2004 through District Level Recruitmen t Committees headed by concerned Deputy
Commissioners .
Favouring the demand raised by a deputation of CIC operators of RDD which called on him on Tuesday Hakeem said the CIC operators in the RDD have been working continuously on contractual basis on meager Rs 10,000/= per month wages. He said Rs 10000/month was a meager amount to support a family when the dearness in the market was at an alarming level . ” How can these operators feed their families and bear expenses on account of education to
their children during the present high market inflation ,” Hakeem opined, adding that
these CIC Operators are highly qualified having M .Tech, MCA, M .Sc.IT, B .E & B .Tech Degrees and are technically very sound and efficient.
PDF Chairman said that the CIC Operators were effeciently handling more than 26 web portals of Rural Development & Panchayati Ra j department on daily bass alongwth other office assignments , election duties , establishment, and accounts related works at
Block/District/Directorate levels. Hakeem sought personal intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for regularisation of CIC operators working in RDD adding therein that the case file for regularisation o f CIC Operators is pending in the General Administration department which has already been cleared by the department of law , justice and parliamentary affairs. The top PDF leader urged Lt Governor to intervene in the matter so that all the CIC operators in RDD are regularised with retrospective effect.
