3-day training on BLS, ACLS begins in CHC Katra

Reasi : A three day Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support training programme began on Tuesday here in the Community Health Centre Katra. The Officers, Officials of the Institution were imparted firsthand knowledge including the practical demonstration by the resource person, DrRumaniRuku MD Anaesthesia. She explained in detail the importance of team management & time management dealing with the patients having complaints of cardiac arrest or any similar disease. She explained how   Coordinated efforts of a team of rescuers can save valuable seconds when time lost equals damage to the heart and brain. She displayed a choreographed method of performing chest compression, managing airway, delivering rescue breaths etc.  The training session would continue till the staff of Block is well professed with the techniques of BLS/ACLS.
