Srinagar : Police on Monday held a meeting with retired officers association (Non-Gazetted) under the chairmanship of SSP Pulwama Gh Jeelani Wani accompanied with DySP DAR Pulwama.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters here, the participants were welcomed by SSP Pulwama and he assured them that police are always at their disposal. He asked them not to feel alone. He also stated that they are still part of Police organization and can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time.
During the meeting, the retired Police officers raised various issues. The chairing officer assured them that their genuine issues/problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their early redressal. It was also made clear in the meeting that retirees are always welcomed for their valuable suggestions and can share their experience with Police officers in smart policing. There is great respect for them in the Police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization. Various measures are taken by the Police department for the welfare of retired Police personnel and their wards.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement, police said that the meeting concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future also to redress the grievances of the retirees.
