Kishtwar : Ace Shooter Subedar Chain Singh of Indian Army Tuesday inaugurated the KishtwarWushu Championship here at Bhandarkot.
The event is being conducted by Indian Army, 11 RR in co-ordination with District Youth Services and Sports Department.
South Asian Games Silver medalist Kanchan Kumar Sharma of Kishtwar has mobilized Youth of the District towards this sport which is picking up rapidly at National and international level.
Kanchan Sharma is two times National medalist, 8 Times State champion and is the General secretary of Wushu association of Kishtwar district. She is passionately training young kids of Kishtwar in Wushu.
A total of 407 youth including 134 Girls and 273 Boys attended the inaugural day event at beautiful Bhandarkot ground. The finals will be played at Chhatroo Sports complex on 10 September 2022 under the aegis of Indian Army 11 RR.
