DEO flags-off SVEEP mobile vehicle at Shopian

Shopian :  In the run up to Special Summary Revision starting on 15th of September 2022, the District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Monday flagged-off a mobile vehicle for disseminating Information and Awareness regarding the Special Summary Revision 2022 to masses.

The vehicle through the medium of print, banners and boards carries in detail all the messages and information related to the revision activities. Besides, the vehicle plays an audio jingle in Kashmiri and Urdu languages urging people for greater participation in the process.

The vehicle was flagged-off from the District Headquarter Shopian and shall cover all the tehsils and subdivisions of the district. A large number of the local officers and general masses   participated in the flag-off programme.

On the occasion, the DEO called for greater and more inclusive participation of people in the electoral process for strengthening the electoral democracy.

A large number of posters, caps, T-shirts and tea cups were distributed with the logo of SVEEP on them to attract the general masses mainly youth of the district to have a greater participation in Special Summary Revision 2022.

Dy. District Election Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer Shopian, DIO Shopian and other officers were present on the occasion.

Speakers, on the occasion, spoke at length on electoral participation and other election related aspects.

The Dy. District Election Officer later  visited the Shopian Market and interacted with the trade associations, fruit growers, members of the civil society, shopkeepers, vegetable sellers and other masses and informed them  about the schedule of Special Summary Revision 2022 and Special Camp day dates to be held in the district.

He informed the people that BLO’s have been instructed to come in contact with every household of their polling area so that no eligible voters are left behind.
