Bandipora : The District Election Officer (DEO), Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Monday convened a meeting with representatives of various political parties in view of post delimitation exercise at mini secretariat, here.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on post delimitation exercises including the list of draft polling stations after the formation of new constituencies and the rationalization and reorganization of polling stations.
The DEO informed that the Draft list will be shared with political parties after publication.
It was given out that 06 new polling stations have been identified for Bandipora Constituency, 02 for Gurez and 01 polling stations for Sonawari Constituency.
The DEO directed ERO, AERO, BLO and other concerned to take up the summary revision process properly after notified dates.
He said, under SVEEP various programmes have been taken up and more intensified programmes shall be held in the District for awareness of the general Public.
He urged political parties to submit a list of BLAs (Block Level Agents) for smooth conduct of election related processes.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of NC, JKAP, AIP, JKNPF, JKPC and others.
