Samba : To make the process hassle free and transparent, a special camp for disbursement of land compensation acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway was organisedon Saturday by in BadheriPanchayatGhar in Samba.
A team of revenue officers, led by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Anuradha Gupta supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the land owners at Langath acquired for Delhi Amritsar Katra Expressway.
To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. the name of the land owner, quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.
It was informed that 30 owners/beneficiaries were identified and verified during the camp who were later disbursed with the compensation amount directly into their bank accounts.
The next public camp for disbursement of land compensation for village Bara is scheduled for 08th September, at SantMandir Hall Bara.
