Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal, on Saturday chaired a meeting to discuss the modalities to improve the Good Governance Index raking of the district.
Detailed deliberations were held on the the performance of different sectors including Agriculture and Allied Sectors, Commerce & Industries, Human Resource Development, Public Health, Public Infrastructure & Utilities, Economic Governance, Social Welfare & Development, Judicial & Public Security, Environment and Citizen-Centric Governance under Good Governance Index.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC said that the Good Governance Index is a uniform tool to assess the status of Governance and the impact of different interventions of the Government in the larger public interest.
He asked the officers to analyse the last Good Governance Index and plan a strategy to bridge the gaps, if any, to achieve the desired results.
The DDC also asked the concerned officers to put in place added efforts to provide best possible services to the common masses so that they don’t face any inconveniences.
He also asked the concerned to achieve the physical and financial targets within the set timeline.
The DDC asked for a prompt, smooth and hassle free public service delivery mechanism in the district.
