DC Jmu reviews status of RDD Capex works

Jammu :  Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa on Saturday reviewed the status of Capex works under Rural Development Department in a meeting with senior district officers.

The concerned official informed the Chair that 3171 works have been proposed under PRI component, 265 under BDC component and 289 under DDC component under Capex Budget 2022-23.

It was further informed that against 3171 works under the PRI component, estimates of 331 works have been prepared and 2623 have been tendered, while out of 265 works under the BDC component, estimates of 246 works have been prepared and 173 tendered. Similarly, out of 289 works under DDC component, estimates of 276 works have been prepared and 216 tendered.

The Deputy Commissioner also took a review of implementation of other schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G and Awaas+.

The Chair was informed that 1805 works have been sanctioned under MGNREGA this year, while 5272 houses sanctioned under PMAY-G are  already in the last phase of completion and 2558 beneficiaries have been registered under Awaas+ out which sanction has been accorded to 2485 cases.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to focus on allotting the works following their execution and completion without any delay.

CPO Yoginder, ACP MeenakshiVaid, BDOs besides senior officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting.
