Srinagar : Police in Budgam on Friday recovered an abducted minor girl within 24 hours and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from the Zonal Police Headquarters here, Police said that police Post Soibugh on 1st Sept received a written complaint from a resident of Khan Mohalla Soibugh who alleged therein that his minor daughter did not return home after school hours and the school administration said that she didn’t attend the school Friday.
“Later on, the police registered a case vide FIR No. 306/2022 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Budgam and investigation was set into motion”, reads the above referred police statement, adding that
“On this occasion, a special Police team under the supervision of IC PP Soibugh was constituted to trace out the missing girl and during the course of investigation, the Police team acting swiftly and raided various suspected locations.
Stating that after strenuous efforts and working on some leads, the special team learnt about the abduction of the missing girl by one Salib Ahmad Hella son of Assadullah Hella resident of Khuri Batapora Kulgam, Police in it’s statement further said that the Police party accordingly raided the specific location and recovered the abducted girl who has also been arrested within 24 hours after the complaint was lodged.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement police said after fulfilling all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the case is going on.
