Bhadarwah : A massive Drug De-Addiction awareness rally was on Thursday taken out in Bhaderwah township witnessing participation of a large number of students, civil society members.
The Rally was organised by the local Administration under the supervision of ADC Ch. Dil Mir to generate mass awareness aboutthe menace of drugs among the local masses especially among the Youth.
The students from Government HSS (boys), Government HSS (girls), KendriyaVidyala and NCC cadets took out the rally amid chanting of slogans “Nasha ko Chodna hai Desh ko bachana hai” and against the drug abuse.
The ADC Bhadarwah, who was the chief guest also addressed the participants and shared his views with the students about the drug menace and how it is affecting the society. He advised all the locals and young people of the area not to fall prey to the addiction and also sought their cooperation in eradicating the drug abuse completely from their area as well as from the district.
Among others present during the program were ASP Bhadarwah, SDPO, BDO, TSWO, CO NCC, besides other concerned officials and locals also participated. Teacher Arif Rana acted as stage secretary.
The rally took off from ADC office New Bus stand and after passing through Seri Bazar, old Bus Stand and College link road culminated at Community Hall.
A pledge to quit drugs and help eradicate drug menace from society was taken at Seri Bazar by the participant students and local citizens.
