JMC Comr notifies ‘No ‘Parking Zones’ in Jmu City

Jammu :  Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rahul Yadavon Thursday notified several areas in Jammu City as No Parking Zones.

As per the notification issued by the JMC, the areas declared as No Parking Zones are Alongside Ganpati Food Junction (Gandhi Nagar), Alongside K.C Theatre opposite parking area, AmphallaChowk except AJ&Ko Stand, Aquaf market Gandhi Nagar, Around the crossing of D.C Office Chowk opposite to parking, Bagh-e-Bahu Temple road, Bahu Plaza Road, E.I.D Gah-Road uptoHari Singh School, Fountain Chowk Greater Kailash, Indira Chowk, JhulakaMohalla Both side No parking zone, KachiChawaniChowk except aJ&Ko stand, Opposite City Square Mall, Opposite Gita Bhawan parade, Opposite Maharaja Hari Singh Park, Opposite parking area Super Specialty Hospital, Panjtirthichowk, Railway to Marble Market on both tubes, Vikas Nagar Road to TalliMorh, Medical College Chowk to Akhnoor Road and PaccaDanga

The notification/ order reads that a committee was constitJ&Ked consisting of the representatives from the Department of Transport, J&K Police, Traffic Police Jammu and Jammu Municipal Corporation for identification and declaration of No Parking Zone  to ensure hassle free movement of vehicles to streamline traffic  in the Jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation.

After the Committee submitted its report vide endorsement no. JMC/RB/1979-83 dated.29.07.2022 after a series of site inspections and deliberation, it recommended these locations to be declared as “No Parking Zone”.
