DDC chairperson Poonch reviews status of developmental projects under Distt Capex Budget

Poonch :  Chairperson District Development Council Poonch, Tazeem Aktheron Thursday chaired a day-long  meeting here in conference Hall of DackbanglowPoonch to review the status of developmental projects being undertaken under District Capex 2022-23 and other schemes being implemented in the District.

District Development Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet, Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar,  chief planning officer, MadanLal, ACD, AbidHussain Shah, ACP, Shafiq Mir, CEO Tourism, Dr. Mohd.Tanveer, CMO, ShamimBhatti, CEO Education, Bishamber Das,  Functional Manager DIC,  Zamood Ahmed, execJ&Kive engineers besides other District and sectoral officers attended the meeting.

At the out set, the ADDC/CEO District Development Council,  Abdul Sattar apprised the meeting aboutthe physical and financial status of ongoing projects under district Capex 2022-23.

The   Deputy Commissioner also appraised about various works under R&B, PMGSY, PHE, PDD,  Health, Education, and other sectors schemes were discussed in detail.

Briefing the chair, ADDC informed that there are total  1413 works under district Capex budget, out  of which 1330 were tendered, around 1100 works were allotted, 650 works were started and 200 works have been completed.

Speaking at the meeting, the DDC chairperson instructed  the concerned officers to mobilize the resources at work places and speed up the pace of developmental works with strict adherence to the quality  parameters.

Laying emphasis on the timely completion of all development projects, the chairperson impressed upon the executing agencies to speed up the process of tendering of remaining works so that all works complete in a  set timeline.

Chairperson, also called for  proper utilisation of funds under set norms so that benefits of developmental projects accrue to the public.

The Chairperson strictly pitched for black listing of all those contractors who failed to start works and take necessary  action against them.

The DDC chairperson  impressed upon all the district officers to work in close coordination with the PRIs and general public.

The chairperson  directed all the  officers  to share the work wise status of area development plan with the  PRIs( DDC BDC and Sarpanches) after every 15 days  and  this  should  start from this Monday. She also  issued direction that all capex works should be complete within two month.
