1-day Training session on e-challans held in Mining Deptt Kathua

Kathua : A One day training session on e-challan and e-market place in the mining department was held under the supervision of Joint Director Geology and Mining, H.L. Langeh, here on Wednesday.

The training program was attended by stone crusher holders, lease holders, representatives of construction companies, contractors and dealing persons of minor mineral blocks.

A detailed lecture through power point presentation was delivered by Mineral Officer,  Dr. Rajinder Singh Rana during the training in which participants were practically trained for generation of e-challans and placement of orders for purchase of minerals from the vendors through e-market place.

On the occasion, videos and slides prepared by the experts were also displayed on the screen for understanding the complete process of e-challans and roles and responsibilities of the participants and department to make the system transparent.

During training, a question-answer session was held in which queries of participants were also resolved on the spot regarding implementation and benefits of e-challans and e-market place for common masses.

Joint Director Geology & Mining while speaking on the occasion said that every stakeholder should come forward for implementation of this new e-system in the mining department and also motivate others to use the department portal for sale and purchase of minor and crushed minerals. He added that this move will certainly keep a check on illegal mining and illegal transportation of minerals.

District Mineral Officer Kathua, Rajinder Singh, Mineral Guards and other officials of the department also remained present during the training program.
