Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandeyon Tuesday inaugurated the Inter Zonal District level Tournament for under 19 year boys and Girls here at Trikuta Ground DayalaChak.In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner called upon the participating young athletes to play the games with true sportsmanship. He said the sports activities play an important role in overall personality development of youth and provide an opportunity to work as a team.
During the daylong event, in Kho-Kho, Zone Bhaddu defeated Sallan by 7 points, while Zone Bhaddu defeated Zone Barnoti by 2-0 to win Volleyball competition. Likewise in Badminton, Zone Lakhanpur defeated Zone Barnoti by 2-0.Similarly, in a Cricket match, Zone Billawar beat Zone Bhaddu, while in Carrom, Zone Hiranagar won over Zone Mahreen.
