DDC Chairperson Poonch attends closing ceremony of ‘Multimedia Exhibition’

Poonch : District Development Council Chairperson, Poonch, TazeemAkhter, on Monday attended the closing ceremony of the 3 day outreach programme ‘Multimedia Exhibition’ organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K under the aegis of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’.
The outreach programme was organized with the aim to generate mass awareness regarding the ongoing campaign of ‘AzadiKaAmritMahotsav’ by the bureau. The 3 day Multimedia Exhibition was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Dr. BasharatHussain on 27th August, 2022.
While delivering her address, the Chairperson said that this exhibition depicts the long history of freedom movement of India and is more appealing in a unique way. While appreciating the efforts of CBC Jammu, she said that district Poonch is a seat of talent and such programs of government of India provides a platform for them to show this.
She urged the bureau to continue such type of outreach programmes in border district Poonch in future. Speaking on the Occasion, Khalid Hussain, Programme Officer, ICDSPoonch delivered an address on the different Schemes of ICDS department and the benefits for the poor masses.
KhursheedYousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Field Office, Udhampur presented an overview, structure and working of the CBC, J&K during the event. He said that CBC is engaged in generating awareness in rural, far flung and media shadow zones regarding the welfare schemes of the Government of India.
Dr. Tanveer Malik, District Programme Coordinator, Ayushman Bharat, Poonch presented a detailed overview of the Ayushman Bharat scenario in district Poonch. He sought cooperation from various quarters to attain the hundred percent achievement of Ayushman Bharat Schemes in district Poonch.
During the Second day of the Exhibition, Assistant Commandant, CRPF, 72 BN Poonch was the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by the Paramilitary Forces, teachers, students from various Schools of Poonch.
Others present there during the event were Gurnaam Singh, Incharge CBC Field Office, Rajouri, Rajesh Sharma, In charge CBC, Field Office, Doda, Teachers, representatives from Health department, District Industries Center, Poonch and police.
During the event Drawing/ Painting Competition, Open Quiz Competition, Patriotic Songs, on AzadiKaAmritMahotsav were also organised to generate awareness of these components and to motivate masses to become part of these campaigns.
CBC, Regional Office, Jammu installed informative standees on AzadiKa AmritMahotsav for the awareness of the people. Cultural Programmes showcasing the importance of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav celebrations enthralled the audience.
